NOTE 1 – You will not be in your dress uniform shirt the whole week. You will be in your scout pants/shorts all week. So plan uniforms accordingly. Also, before coming, see that all badges and insignia are properly placed on the uniform.
NOTE 2 – Those attending courses in June should be prepared for cold and wet weather by including extra set(s) of socks, long trousers, long-sleeved shirts, a winter coat, winter gloves and a winter hat. Footwear should be water resistant. The sleeping bag should handle freezing temperatures. Emergency ponchos are generally not durable enough; please plan on proper inclement weather gear. Snow is not unheard of at the altitude of our campsites during this time of year.
NOTE 3 – Pack will be used for getting gear from the parking area to the campsite. If you do not have a backpack, do not purchase one just for Timberline. You just need to be able to carry all of your gear by yourself at one time for approximately half a mile.
