I have been doing some research for scuba lessons for the troop and crew.
There is a store in A.F the cost is $175.00 per person and $25.00 for mask, snorkel and fins. The class work is done at the store and the pool work is done at the A.f rec. center. (he will need help from the leaders).
The other one is in Orem the cost is $150.00 and no extra cost for the mask, snorkel and fins. The class is taught in Orem, and the pool work is done at a private pool in Lindon.
They both offer the scuba merit badge that can be completed during the same time.
They both offer refresher classes for those who would like to hone their skills fro $45.00 or so.
They both offer scuba packages that can be put together to fit any budget.
The open water can be done at Blue Lake outside of Wendover, (if you ride with Bill bring a very large gator aid bottle :)), or at the crater in Heber, or we can plan an over nighter and go to sand hollow down by Hurricane, they have improved camp grounds and showers, they have a lot of sunken items to dive for and look at.
It will take about 5-6 weeks if we want we can double them up and get done sooner.
We can discuss this on Tuesday at the trailer cleaning party and BBQ at Bills, please come and share your input and ideas.
The troop the Dives together stays Alive together....
