Hi all!
For our activity on August 9, we will be meeting at 960 N 910 E in Orem for a Salmon Fry and our Crew Elections! We would like to get as many people as possible there for that so that we can have successful elections and a fun time.
Food Assignments:
Crew- Bring a side dish (baked beans, rice, chips, salad, etc)
Troop- Bring a dessert (brownies, doughnuts, cake, etc.)
On August 16, we are hoping to go to a wilderness essentials class at REI, (so far, this isn't set in stone, we are still waiting to hear back from REI) we will be LEAVING the city building at 5:30 pm for that, everyone please be a few minutes early so we can be rolling out at 5:30. Watch the blog for more details about this.
Our crew was also invited to help out at a water station for the Big Cottonwood Canyon Marathon on September 10. It's a good opportunity for us to raise some money for the upcoming year for fun activities. We will need to be up the canyon at 6 am, and will be handing out cups of water and Gatorade to the runners as they pass. We will probably be done around 9:30. I will post more specific details as we get them, but please put this date on your calendars!
