We missed all those who could not make it to our meeting. We had a good time seeing the pictures of last weeks camp. Sorry not more could make it to the camp. Those who went had a great time. Thanks to Rick for putting together the slide show. We planned some activities for the next while,next week we are going to hike up to Battle Creek falls. Meet at the parking lot at the top of 200 south Pleasant Grove. If you need a ride please call one of the leaders!! We are planning on meeting at the parking lot at 7pm. Bring a day pack with water and a trail meal as we are going to do some trail meals for our dinner. If you don't have a back pack stove those that do are willing to share. You should bring enough stuff in your pack so you can start to get into condition for back packing.
We are planning to hike to the top of Timp in Sept. Then in Nov we want to go to Zions canyon and hike. We are going to do Timp in one long day so you need enough in your pack to feed you a couple of meals and water. We will put together a list when the time comes. For next week pack what you think you might need for a full days hike. We will then discuss what is taken and what we can do to lighten your packs. On July 17-18 we are going to go camping out west in the desert. That week end is when the Utah Rocket Club will be launching rockets, so we will stop by and watch.
If you have a rocket you want to launch or want to build one to launch we can use their launch pads. If you want to buy a rocket Bill has a contact, so get with him so he can get you one. I would like it if someone would post comments on this blog so I will know you are able to access it.
