Well this last week we went to REI in Sandy for a class on Leave No Trace. It was awesome. We got some great ideas and really good information. We also got some information on packs,sleeping bags, GPS's and sleeping pads. It was some great information. On Friday we left about 6pm to go camping up Timpanokee it was a pretty rough road and took us quite a while to get there. We set up camp and then we did dutch oven pizza. The food as always was delicious. We then went to bed and what a great night, the temperature's were perfect. We got up and had breakfast then we went over and did our shooting. It was awesome. The big guns are so cool and great to shoot. Everyone got to shoot a few times. We were very fortunate to have a federal firearms instructor come and teach us how these firearms are fired.
This next week we are meeting at the church at 7pm and we need to clean the trailer. We also need to do elections for new officers. We also need to plan the next 3-6 months of activities. On Saturday Spencer is doing a bake sale at the church, so we would like everyone to help out if possible. Spencer will have information on Wednesday. This is for his Eagle project. We all need to support him. It is always exciting to have one of our group get this close to their Eagle. We must help them out.
This last week we had some new youth interested in our group show up on Wednesday but as we met on Thursday instead we missed them. We need to some how let people know about this blog and that this is where we post the activities for our group. So if you hear of someone trying to find out about us give them this blog address.
You can also let them know what we are doing or even have them call one of us leaders.
